Sampling St Swithun's

On 18 March we piloted 'Sampling St Swithun's' – a free series of day time workshops with innovators in sound, art and music in which visitors could try out sonic recording, create electronic textiles and digital visuals. We ran the event to explore new ways of using and interpreting the space, build on the positive relations we have developed to date with local cultural arts organisations and the University, and tested out new forms of engagement and learning that will help inform future activity and business planning. In the evening there was a concert using the music, images and visuals produced in the day as a backdrop to a fun evening of beat boxing, organ playing and DIY music.
